About Kilburn Speech & Language Therapy

Welcome to Kilburn Speech & Language Therapy: an independent service established in 2020 providing high quality assessment and intervention with adults.

I am Marisa, a specialist speech and language therapist with many years’ experience, having qualified in 2005 in London. I have extensive experience in the area of adult neurological conditions, and I work with adults who have a range of speech, language and swallowing conditions. I often work with adults post-stroke who have communication difficulties such as aphasia, verbal dyspraxia, or dysarthria. I also frequently work with autistic adults, taking a neuro-diversity affirming approach.

I take care to find out what is important to my clients and to work in a holistic, individualised manner.

Geographical areas I cover include: Portsmouth, Fareham, Southampton, Stubbington, Lee-on-Solent, Locks Heath, Warsash, Whiteley, Fair Oak, Hythe, Denmead, Waterlooville, Hayling Island, Wickham, Meonstoke, Swanmore, Hambledon, Botley, Hedge End, Bursledon, Hamble, and surrounding areas. Please contact me if you are interested in a home visit. I also offer teletherapy (sessions online via video call) which can work very well, especially for clients who are further afield.
