Introduction
I have worked as a speech and language therapist (SLT) since qualifying in London in 2005. I spent 15 years working as an SLT within the NHS, in various roles, mainly with adult clients with neurological conditions. Since 2020, I have worked independently, seeing a range of adult clients. I often work with people post-stroke, and autistic adults.
I have specialist experience in supporting communication and swallowing difficulties arising from stroke, dementia, brain injury, and progressive neurological conditions such as Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Parkinson’s, and Huntington’s Disease. I also work with autistic adults and adults with learning disabilities. I can use Makaton signing, and I have BSL (British Sign Language) Stage 1.
My approach to therapy is to provide a personalised, holistic service, taking care to set meaningful goals and make a positive difference to your quality of life.
How I can help you
I can work with you and any other relevant people (such as your spouse, partner, family member or friend) to maximise your ability to communicate and/or your ability to manage your swallowing issues. We will set meaningful goals together and work collaboratively to achieve them.
